The formula
Milk weight (kg) = litres × 1.03. Fat (kg) = weight × fat% ÷ 100, and SNF (kg) = weight × SNF% ÷ 100. Total solids = fat + SNF. On a total-solids basis the value is TS (kg) × rate per kg.
